Madness & Mysteries provides storytelling entertainment tailored for children's parties and events in Brighton and Hove and the surrounding area!
You can choose between a solo storyteller (me, Ellie) or the Ellie and Rosie (epic singer-songwriter!) duo for a musical experience with the tale.
Children are taken on enchanting adventures filled with games, interactive storytelling filled with Celtic magic!
This isn't just any storytelling; it's an immersive experience. I weaves tales inspired by ancient mythology, offering a blend of history, fantasy, and fun!

The Warrior
Ellie, our storyteller, becomes the embodiment of the legendary Celtic warrior Cú Chulainn. This theme is inspired by the tale of "Setanta," a perfect embodiment of skill, precision, courage, and independence. It's a story where adventurers conquer impossible situations.
The Fairy
Our "Fairy Theme" draws inspiration from "The Wooing of Becfola," an ancient Celtic tale filled with the light and darkness of the fairy world. In addition to the exciting adventure, playful interaction, and ancient wisdom, children will learn about the balance between light and darkness, the ever-changing nature of life, and the importance of making wise choices.
The Winter Witch
Ellie takes on the role of the ancient witch Aoife from "The Children of Lir." This winter-themed package is filled with magic, swans, and heartwarming songs that bring families closer during the cold months. It's a perfect choice for the holiday season, emphasizing the importance of family bonds and togetherness.
The Dark King/ Queen
In my "Dark King" package, Ellie transforms into the forbidden dancer or the narrow-minded King who banned dancing, drawing inspiration from the ancient Greek play "The Bacchae" by Euripides. This child-friendly adaptation infuses wisdom into the story, showcasing how dancing can transform even the proudest hearts. It's a journey of self-discovery and acceptance.
The Banshee's Twilight Ball
Join the ethereal twilight where the Banshee's song weaves the night. In this theme, children will engage in musical mysteries, create haunting melodies, and learn about the myths surrounding these misunderstood messengers. It's a journey that teaches the beauty in every tale and the importance of understanding different perspectives.
The Druid's Mystery
Step into a world of ancient wisdom with the Druid's Enigma theme! Children are initiated into the mysteries of the druids, engaging in storytelling, nature magic, and crafting talismans. They'll learn the ancient lore of the earth and the skies, understanding the importance of balance and paying attention to nature’s messages!
